It is an honor to serve as
principal of Bishop Mora Salesian High School.
Dear
Salesian Family,
Ordinary People think that they need to get their “ducks all
lined up” before making a commitment. Extraordinary People
commit first and then handle the obstacles. After one is
committed, handling the obstacles is just part of the process.
But before one is committed, to handle the obstacles can seem
like moving mountains. Ray Blanchard
I
begin by thanking you, our parents, and our entire school
community for making Bishop Mora Salesian High School a school
of choice. So much greatness is being produced by our students
and families. Please recognize that greatness and success is
contagious, so expect it to grow beyond belief.
Next
year (2008-2009) our school will increase its enrollment to its
largest number in over 20 years. We expect a large freshman
class and we will welcome nearly fifty transfer students from
Daniel Murphy High School. With this increase in enrollment we
are afforded the opportunity to offer an enhanced academic
program. We look to hire more teachers, expand our courses, and
introduce co-curricular opportunities for our students. Please
let take care of re-registration so that we can save your son a
space for next year.
I am
pleased to announce that we will be celebrating the
accomplishments of 40 students who have academically excelled
this past semester. On March 6th we will hold our
Academic Top Ten Banquet where the top 10 students in each grade
will be recognized.
All of
your sons’ grades and class assignments are now posted online at
Snapgrades.com. If you have any questions regarding our online
grading program please contact Mr. Johnson.
Congratulations to the
stars of our drama production, the first play at Salesian in
over ten years (Pablo Correa, 10 Edmundo Gonzalez, 10; Carlos
Martinez 10; Joshua Orozco 10; Evan Sena, 11; Miguel Lopez 12;
and Ms. Gina Hughes 10 from SG Mission High School.
Congratulations to our Soccer and Basketball teams for their
league championships and bid for the CIF title.
I challenge our school
community to set goals and to commit to accomplishing those
goals; I challenge our school community to be Extraordinary
beyond belief.

Principal
