Dear Salesian Family,
It is an honor to serve as Principle of Bishop Mora Salesian
High School.
Change has a considerable psychological impact on the human
mind. To the fearful it is threatening because it means that
things may get worse. To the hopeful it is encouraging because
things may improve. To the confident it is inspiring because the
challenge exists to make things better. -King Whitney
Jr.
A beautiful thing about the world of schools is the constant
transformation. Every year is different, every student is
unique, and every classroom is its own experience. Schools
continually evolve. As educators it is our responsibility to
ensure that the school's transformation coincides with the needs
of the students and of the community.
The teachers at Salesian have accepted the challenge. We are
truly living out the spirit of our school motto; we are
committed to a loving with abundance, teaching with passion, and
inspiring with imagination. Don Bosco's words have been embedded
at Salesian, "It is not enough that the young be loved, they
must know that they are loved". Salesian has made as a priority
the curriculum and instruction of our students. We have recently
been blessed with a grant that ensures that our teachers master
a variety of research-based, high-yield teaching strategies. Our
students are the beneficiaries. We commit ourselves to inspire
students into becoming confident and hope-filled leaders of
tomorrow's world.
I welcome you to a new school year. I welcome you to your
school family. I encourage you to keep a line of communication
open to everyone of us here at Salesian. Things are a bit
different around Salesian these days. We have a few new faces
and few faces with new responsibilities. Please join us at Back
to School Night on Thursday, September 13th where you will have
the opportunity to meet and greet all of us here responsible for
the education of your children.
Thank you for your confidence and continued support.
Your Principal,
